Third Paediatric Spasticity, Orthopaedic, and Postural Management Conference, Cork
Announcement made at Enable Ireland Cork Conference 2017
Enable Ireland held its third annual Paediatric Spasticity, Orthopaedic, and Postural Management Conference in Cork in April. 230 delegates attended the event, along with 24 expert speakers.
The conference coincided with the announcement of a collaboration with Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) to bring 3-D gait analysis services to children in Cork and Kerry.

Bloom is Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family event and this year we are entering a show garden! Our garden has been designed by former Bloom Gold Medalist, Joan Mallon and is inspired by our vision of Life with No Limits for children and adults with disabilities.
We’d love to see as many Enable Ireland supporters and friends there as possible. Bloom takes place in the Phoenix Park from 1-5 June.

New AT Loan Library Items
Enable Ireland’s National AT Training Service has introduced a number of new assistive technology products to the AT loan library
New products include the Amazon Echo, Zmote and the Wemo Smart Plug switch.

City Cycle Cork
Sunday 13th August, will see the inaugural ‘Enable Ireland, City Cycle Cork’ take place in aid of a new children’s centre in Cork.
The people of Cork will be the first in Ireland to host this exciting event.
This unique challenge, will see participants take to the streets and roads of Cork city and county for a timed cycle sportive event.

Pay Restoration - Pay Alignment
By way of update on correspondence from Ms Fionnuala O’Donovan, 24/04/17, I confirm that on 27/04/17 IMPACT trade union notified Enable Ireland of its referral of a pay restoration claim to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC).
A date for hearing this claim has not yet been set by the WRC.

Pension Information Sessions
Following on from the Staff Consultation Forum Meeting on 14th March 2017, Pension Information Sessions have been arranged to take place in the month of May at a number of different locations around the country.
Pension Teamroom
A new Pension Teamroom is now on Inform called DC Pensions.
The Teamroom has very useful information including FAQs, Trustee Summary Reports, Contact Details, etc. Pension Members are encouraged to look through it.
This Teamroom can be accessed by all members of the Enable Ireland Pension Scheme who have an Enable Ireland email address.
