However as the popularity of mobile devices has increased so too has the diverseness of the apps and accessories now available.  New apps and accessories now provide further options for environmental controls.

Apps such as Evoassist and Housemate mobile allow you to customize pages to suit the devices within your environment and then copy the Infra-red signals from existing remotes such as your TV.

For an individual using a power wheelchair options are available that allow the user to control mobile devices through their wheelchair joystick such as the iPortal.
