Pat Kenny’s visit to the Centre

Mothers & Others
– Afternoon Tea with Mary Kennedy & Guests
 

Ladies, mark Sunday March 13th in your diary as TV personality Mary Kennedy will host a special ‘Mothers & Others Afternoon Tea’ on Sunday March 13th at the Clayton Hotel. The event is being organised to celebrate both Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day.

The afternoon begins at 3.00pm, where guests can browse the lifestyle village with over 30 stands showcasing a range of pop-up shops including; health, fitness, food and wellbeing. There will also be a beauty team on-hand to treat you to make-up touch ups and mini manicures.


For the fashionistas, enjoy a seated style workshop in association with a selection of the city’s most popular boutiques. In advance of the event, four lucky ladies will be chosen for a full head to toe makeover and will unveil their new look on the day with each of the boutiques sharing their styling tips and top fashion secrets. Two of Galway’s hair and make-up experts will also be on hand to tell their tricks of the trade, covering everything from subtle day time to a more glamorous evening look.

A highlight of the afternoon will be the on the couch interviews hosted by Mary Kennedy, speaking to four of Galway’s leading ladies. Everything from careers to marriage and family life will be discussed in a light-hearted manner but with an insightful approach. 

Annmarie O’Connor, fashion writer, stylist and author of the Happy Closet will discuss the link between well-being and being well-dressed with mindfulness tips on how to master your wardrobe wellness. Pianist Sean Rowland will provide the musical entertainment and the afternoon will also feature Galway Soprano’s, Bel Canto.

The Mothers & Others Afternoon Tea is the perfect get-together for female family members, colleagues or friends, especially as a Mother’s Day Gift or to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Flora Women’s Mini Marathon
June 6th 2016
 

We are looking for five team leaders to each recruit four other team mates so we can head to Dublin for the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on Monday June 6th

Registration opens on Feb. 16th for entrants, so we need to move fast.  If you are interested in joining the Enable Ireland Galway team, contact the fundraising office at the Centre – galwayfr@enableireland.ie

Bus transport from Galway, a t-shirt and refreshments will be included in the sponsorship pack.


Tough Mudder
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July 2016, Loughcrew, Co. Meath
 

 Have you got what it takes?Enable Ireland are recruiting a team of #muddymates to take on the Tough Mudder challenge.  


Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit.  If you feel like training for something a bit different in 2016, then join the Enable Ireland team.  Discounted registration for the challenge is €89 for Saturday and €79 for Sunday participation, using code TM16ENABLE – valid until May 1st 2016.  In addition, a minimum sponsorship of €100 per person will be required to support Enable Ireland services.
